It’s finally Spring time! If you’re looking to freshen up your makeup game here are our top four most wearable trends for SS17. As much as we loved the avant-garde looks that graced our Instagram feed during fashion weeks, unfortunately, we can’t pull off a face outlined with pressed Daises sobs. So we’ll stick to achievable looks that suit everyone!
You can’t glow wrong!
Val Garland created that fresh out of the spa look on her girls at a handful of shows, and it looks uh-mazing! If you too want ultra bright skin we’ve scribbled down a few of our top tips.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Weekly face masks & sleeping masks.
- Introduce Hydrating skin mists into your skin care routine, use before moisturising and spritz over the top of base makeup, keep a small bottle on you to spritz throughout the day to rival Millie Mackintosh’s glow.
- Use a cream illuminator under foundation all over the face.
It was acceptable in the 80’s…
80’s blusher is back with a fanatical spring twist. Think peaches/apricot for fair skin tones and fuchsia shades for darker skin, sculpt your beautiful face shape with a pop of colour that will bring out all your best assets ;). Start from the temple and curve the product onto your cheekbone ensure it’s blended into the skin we don’t want to see no harsh lines leave the contouring in 2015, dust your fave hue on top of the eyes to make your eyes pop.
Love hue always
Orange Yellow, Blue, Pink you name it they wore it. A huge spectrum of colours was worn on the eyes of many models during fashion weeks. Choose your favourite colour, sweep over the lids and under the eyes softening the corners, or create a cat eye look like Pat McGrath at Victoria Beckham. Remember opposites attract pair your bold eyes with a neutral lip.
A rich red lip matched with beaming skin was spotted on models at Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, and Simone Rocha just to name a few. A bold lip coupled with a neutral/bare eye, add a side of radiance to make us go weak at the knees!
